General Objective of the Scientific Material:
The study’s objective stems from demonstrating the interconnection between Shariah foundations and human concerns, and between spiritual, physical, and financial acts of worship in their relationship to essential, complementary, and embellishing purposes (Al-Maqased Al-Shar-ayah). It also connects the past with the present and future, juridical rulings with human rights, and periods of prosperity with times of hardship and crises. The study provided answers to several
questions, including:
Does endowment (Waqf) contribute to providing healthy, sound food for individuals within their local environment? If guaranteeing a minimum level of food needs for all members of society is a right, what is the practical duty incumbent upon endowment institutions to fulfill? To what extent can technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution be utilized in the field of food security? Are these applications conducted in accordance with the rules and provisions of Islamic Sharia?
